First, we custom print directly onto the holographic vinyl. Full-colour printing is no problem, even on holographic material. When you design holographic stickers, make sure to remember that there are two ways we can print on your stickers:
- Print colour directly onto the holographic vinyl. This generates a stunning colourful holographic effect for your chosen colour, giving your sticker a fantastic look.
- Add white ink between your colour and the holographic vinyl. White ink dilutes the metallic effect and creates “normal” colours for your sticker.
To create the best look for your stickers, we recommend using a mix of both options. This will make the metallic parts of your stickers even more eye-catching. And do not worry, you do not have to add those white layers yourself. Simply let us know which parts of your stickers you’d like to appear “normal” and which should have the metallic effect and we’ll print your stickers this way.
As an alternative to holographic vinyl stickers, you can opt for custom foil printing. There, a metallic foil material will be applied to a clear material, giving your stickers a premium and luxurious appearance. Why not try that for your next order?
But back to effect stickers for now. After printing, your stickers are laminated with a gloss finish. This gives your stickers a high-class look and protects them from water, scratches and fading in the sun - perfect for indoor and outdoor sticker use. If you want a matte finish for your stickers instead, please contact us before placing your order. However, we do recommend sticking with a glossy finish for your stickers as it highlights the metallic effect of the holographic material.
Metallic die cut sticker options
Did you know you can get your stickers cut into any custom shape you can think of? The term holographic only describes what material your stickers are printed on (namely, holographic vinyl), not what shape your stickers will have.
This means that you can add extra visual interest to your stickers by choosing a custom shape and creating a die cut sticker (an individually cut sticker that is cut through all layers) or a kiss cut sticker (individually cut stickers that are only cut through the material layer, leaving the backing paper intact).
